Salsa Cycles launched Gravel & Gratitude, a multi-part digital storytelling campaign designed to explore the deeper emotional connection between riders and gravel cycling.
The campaign followed three individuals - Krystal Salvent, Leonardo Brasil, and Brooke Goudy - each sharing personal stories around identity, community, and the transformative power of riding.
The objective was to create a cohesive narrative-driven campaign that extended beyond product marketing, positioning Salsa within a more human, culture-driven space inside the cycling industry.
RESULTS
The project was approached as a documentary-style storytelling series, prioritizing authenticity, emotion, and environmental context over traditional product-focused imagery. Photography was designed to support both editorial storytelling and brand positioning - capturing riders within their environments while reinforcing the emotional tone of each individual story. Visual direction focused on consistency across multiple narratives, ensuring each installment felt distinct while contributing to a unified campaign identity.
Produced a cohesive body of photography across a multi-part campaign, supporting three individual storylines published as part of Salsa’s Gravel & Gratitude series.
Assets were distributed across digital editorial platforms, brand storytelling channels, and campaign features, forming the visual backbone of the project.
